About Us

It's frustrating how a hearing problem can make you feel removed from those so close. It can isolate you socially and have a huge impact on how you go about your daily life.

For every person with a hearing problem there can be many disrupted relationships, many misinterpretations, frustrations, arguments, cases of sadness or even depression. It's in our nature to be social, we want to belong and join in, be part of the conversation, not just "sat" on the edge of it. Poor hearing can fester, it can eat away at our quality of life and can negatively impact on the little pleasures life has to offer many times throughout the day.

This is why at Cheshire Hearing Centres we take the time to do things differently. We start with the hearing impaired individual, with their problems and listen to their story. Only when we truly understand our clients needs can we possibly go on to help you with a suitable hearing system.

At Cheshire Hearing Centres we believe in improving the quality of life for those with hearing impairment. Operating from our Head Office in Bramhall, High Lane Medical Centre in Stockport, Andrew's Pharmacy in Macclesfield and Malcolm's Pharmacy in Urmston we also offer a home visit service throughout Cheshire and the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester and Derbyshire. We provide hearing solutions for all budgets and levels of loss.

Every one of our clients will have their own particular story of how they have got to where they are now. How their hearing problems make them feel and how their hearing loss affects the way others feel about them. Does the effort and concentration needed to understand a simple family conversation in their favourite restaurant outweigh the pleasure of the company those they hold dear? Then it may be time to give us a call.

Different factors will have effected their ability to hear, family history, work environment and medical conditions to name a few. Their previous experience with hearing instruments or even the experience of those around them will impact on their perceptions of what hearing aids can do for them. Our clients' lifestyle will differ subtly as will their abilities, their dexterity and their concern over how a hearing system may look.

We need to understand all these aspects in order to develop a unique solution to help them regain the ability to communicate with those around them. Each client will require a bespoke solution to their problems for which a hearing aid or two may only be part of the answer.

As an independent practice, Cheshire Hearing Centres are not tied to any one manufacturer. The hearing aid audiologists are free to select the most suitable hearing aids for each client based on the individual results and the clients' specific needs. Advice is completely impartial and the aim is always to find the best possible solution to meet particular hearing and lifestyle requirements. Cheshire Hearing Centres supply the latest digital technology from Audibel,  Bernafon, GN ReSound, Oticon, Phonak, Siemens, Starkey, Unitron and Widex.

Of course the hearing aid is an extremely important part of the success of any fitting. As audiologists we know and understand the complexed features of today's hearing technology. The other aspect to a successful fitting is our expertise, the time we spend with our clients for follow up, fine tuning and aftercare appointments is an essential part of our service.
